Apollo and Opal got to go trick-or-treating tonight! Apollo loves all the attention. Opal wasn't sure, she was more interested in animal crackers and chasing bugs...lol

Emma went into labor this morning at 6:35 AM. She had 14 puppies 6 Harlequin males, 4 Harlequin females, 2 Black with white markings females, and 2 Merle males. She finished at 8:30 PM. She did so great and did not have any problems. If you would like to see pictures please go to our Available Puppies page.

Emma is getting so big! She is about the size she was in the last week her last pregnancy and she still has two weeks left! There are some pictures on Emma's Page!

Opal has started learning to go get it and drop it. She did really well with it. We are still working on all the other commands, when she learns a new one she likes to forget the old ones!

Opal went to the vet today and she weighed 54.6 pounds and was 24 inches tall. She is getting used to riding in the car. She loves getting out but still is a little cautious getting in. At the vet she sat when commanded and shook his had! I was so proud of her. She even did it without a treat.

Opal is doing great! She is doing very well with sit and gets it about 90% of the time. She already knows what the cookie jar is but we did not expect that to take long...LOL! Emma plays very well with her and all of them get along great! I hope she does not grow to fast!

Well I had an itchin to get a puppy! I have had 4 Great Danes over my life and all I have gotten as adults! Even though I breed my Danes it is not the same as raising one yourself! So off I went to look at Opal, my mother went with me and we both instantly fell in love! I am going to attempt to service train to be a therapy dog! Wish us luck!

Emma is bred with Apollo, they locked up 5 or 6 times between August 27, 2008 and should have their litter around the end of October to be ready for their new homes before Christmas!

Well we just got home from our camping trip. Everyone had a great time. As always Apollo was eager to go swimming. It was a slow start for Emma but by the end of the trip she was getting in the water on her own to swim with the kids and fetch sticks! We are sooo proud of both of them! They all ate mushy food today. I was not going to start them just yet but they kept dipping into mom's bowl and getting her hard food, so I thought at least this way it would be easier for them to digest.

All the babies went to the vet today and had their dew claws removed and were weighed. The vet said they all look great and he doesn't see any problems. Each puppies weight is under their pictures on our Available Puppies page.

Puppies Are Here! Emma went into labor at 12 pm 3-19-08 and had her last baby at 6:20 am 3-20-08. It was a very long night for both of us. Emma had 15 babies but 2 did not make it. We are so proud of our Emma she did so great for her first litter, and she is such a great mom now! If you are interested in any of these puppies please see our Available Puppies page!

Happy Valentines day! We went to visit Lisa Harmon at PetsMart today. We took Apollo, Emma, Ruby and Dolly. They were real excited. All of them did so great with the other dogs and people. We have joined the SW Mo Service Animal meet-up to keep or Danes well socialized, learning and having fun!

Pearl had 3 black and white babies and 2 fawn babies today. Everything else is going great!

Everything has been going great. Emma has now been to the pet store and did wonderful, the park and on many walks. She is still a little nervous around new people but accepts them in strides.

Emma had her vet check and shots today, everything was great. She did wonderful much better than we had expected. Way to go Emma!

We went and visit Emma today. It took a few minutes for her to get used to us but when she did we decided to take her home. She has turned out to be a very sweet girl in just one day. She is a very beautiful marked Harlequin. She pictures of her on the Photo Gallery page.

The puppies have started eating hard puppy food. They just can't get enough. They are getting so big and playful it is so much fun playing with them and watching them.

They got our first taste of food today. I put a piece in each of their mouths and they loved it so I mixed some puppy food with cottage cheese (they said to try this at the place I buy my dog food) and as soon as they got a little taste they dug in. They slept all night after that!

The babies are two weeks old today and all of them have their eyes open so we took them outside for the first time. See pictures on the puppies page. They did not stop sniffing, it was so neat watching them explore the new world. They took a big nap once they were back in their puppy room!

We are having alot off fun with Skylar, Spots and Muffin and they haven't even opened their eyes yet, we can't wait till they can get up and run and play. They have double in size since they were born!

We have a new litter of puppies born June 30, 2007. We had 7 total 3 were still born and a little black male we called Neptune made it 4 days before he passed on, he was born missing his right ear and very small. We bottle fed him and took the best care of him we could but unfortunately he did not make it.
There are three little girl Merles still here they are healthy and beautiful!
